Christmas at Nursing Homes is the one time where it gets lonelier. The reason for this is actually quite joyful because most families prefer to spend the holidays with their grandparents/parents. Therefore, they take our patients home with them. As much as we love this gesture and want all of our patients to spend Christmas eve with their families, sometimes it is unattainable.
Often, our clients aren’t well enough to move around or travel. Sometimes they cannot even strain themselves to be with family for even three hours. This is why, for our residents who cannot spend the holidays with their loved ones for one reason or another, Christmas at nursing homes may get depressing.
This is why, here at Aster, we make sure to make Christmas at nursing homes special, joyful, and filled with fun activities. Our activity coordinators work together the whole year to come up with a new theme and flow of activities to make sure Christmas eve at Aster Healthcare nursing homes is spent with joy and merry. If you want to witness our joyful holiday celebrations yourself, you can pay us a visit during these holidays at any of our nursing homes across England and see it for yourself.
Sam Jeebun goal is to make sure our patients interact with each other and the caretakers and don’t isolate themselves. Holidays tend to make one depressed if spent alone. It is crucial for us to indulge all of our patients in some sort of social activity and to have as much fun as they can.
